What separates a good integration from a fragile one
Good integrations retry with backoff, so a five-minute outage at the other end doesn't lose your data. They guard against duplicates, so a retry never creates the same order twice. Failures go to a dead-letter queue where they can be seen and fixed. Every call is logged, and you get an alert if the other side changes its API without warning.

Effort depends on how many systems an integration touches more than on the size of any one of them. You get a fixed written quote before work starts.
